Lifestyle Options ~ The American Dream

Lifestyle Options ~ The American Dream

Here's my theory on the homosexuality and bisexuality trend. And by trend, I mean this Era where it's "fashionable to be gay". I know I will offend a lot of you who are gay or bi but this my opinion to which I am entitled, so love me as I am, not for what I do!

I see gays and I think about the lifestyle - the realities of it VS the way it's sold to people by the media. I have a theory that the People have been fooled by the biggest marketing ploy in history and that would be the gay/bi society. Who's behind it? I think a collection of people who in their young adulthood and as they grow old will have no place in traditional marriage or family life, so therefore have created a place for themselves. In other words, an entire generation of people who have very little chance of finding a good partner of the opposite sex will now have permission to have sex with each other without public scrutiny! People who wouldn't be able to find a partner or live a traditional life because they lost all moral character long ago, left their life and health far behind, haven't maintained any kind of financial responsibility. These are all demands that any partner seeks.

The gay/bi world is sold that all gays/bisexuals are successful, that this behavior invokes success or gain, that these people are more driven than straights. The fact is, my gay friends are more inclined to take risks and are further in debt than anyone else I know, but not anymore successful in any measurable level.

I see it all of the time in the media - most gay men are rich or own some business or have a very defined lifestyle with heightened appreciation of passions. Most bisexual or gay females are making money or in the center of attention, the most attractive, the most friends, spoiled and coddled.

It's the greatest marketing ploy of all – be all things to all people and increase your chances for opportunity. What business wouldn't like that kind of a market?? Sell everything to everyone! No limits, no niche - just success!!

The obvious fact is that gay/bi relations have as much and most often MORE dysfunction than straight relationships! The lifestyle in no way offers a BETTER way of living - however it's always represented as doing so!

There will be generations of people aging who will have more opportunities now because they have laid the groundwork for a society that's willing to accept less and ultimately sell themselves to acquire a fake lifestyle and that is the worlds biggest marketing success.

Whether you are straight, bi, gay ~ if you are going to sell yourself, someone will buy!

That's my opinion!

And here I thought it was because the men liked to suck dick and the women liked to eat at the "Y".

Why do people have to make things so complicated?

Well to give a little 'nod' to your idea here... I do remember an article in a magazine several years ago that was talking about how being 'bi' was supposed to somehow be the 'new cool hip thing'... Personally, I thought the article was 'full of shit' (in more ways then one) Just in my own experience previously in the fashion-industry (in regards MEN specifically) - I haven't met a self-proclaimed 'bi' that didn't turn out to just be full blown 'gay' in the end. Although I'm sure there must be a few true 'Libertines' out there somewhere, catching & spreading some 'itchies'... But either way - closet gay afraid to commit to the title even... Or libertinesque - who commits to every and all hole... Neither seems all that 'hip' in the end if you ask me. More pathetic actually.

Obviously, unless we're talking about some sort of 'casting couch' situation here (which usually just amounts to being poorly used - not wealth).. There's really no guarentee of 'success' no matter where you may put your tackle. (If anywhere at all) So the only relevance I could see between 'gays' and 'success' is perhaps if it's because many of them don't have kids right away.. (unless they adopt, or one of them temporarily drops their 'gaydom' for a spell later...) Let's face it - Kids and families COST MONEY and do tend to tie the average person down. So bypassing that particular aspect (which certainly doesn't involve being gay or not - though gays tend to have a slight advantage there) and a person may concentrate more on career and monatary gains.. possibly. (Helps to have the right career - and not be working at Walmart say..)

But if there ever really was a 'marketing ploy' out there somewhere in regards 'gayness and success' I think it's a pretty useless stupid one. People just aren't going to change their own inate 'selves' due to what some silly magazine out there has to say. They're shirt? - Maybe... But not where they 'park their car' so to speak. For me - I can just hang a few minutes in a men's restroom for a quick pee, listening to all the various 'pops & whistles' going on sickeningly around me... to KNOW I'm not gay. Media be damned. (lol) Besides, when it comes to it, I think the great majority of that particular type of media tends to appeal only to the more (to put it nicely) 'lowbrow'. If I were to take seriously what I see in those programs or mags... I would have to also believe that Britney Spears is a great singer whose very underwear and choice of 'men' (cough cough) is of utmost interest. That Nick and Jessica are super talented on par with Brando, That Paris Hilton is an enigmatic hard-working wonder to ponder...

I think you get my point.
