Bush's policies have created sympathy for the terrorists cause throughout the world, his policies have increased (not decreased) their ranks, his policies have weakened our relations with most nations of the world, his policies have made us much less safe and more vulnerable to a nuclear terrorist attack.

If after invading Afganistan, we had stayed and finished the job, then joined with the rest of the world to work to stomp out terrorism across the board we would be in a much better place. Yes... I do know the meaning of the word. Disrespect is something our country has been getting a lot of from the world community since Bush made his move on Iraq.

We had the sympathy of the world after 9/11. Bush squandered it with a war of opportunity in Iraq. He's lied to his country and the world, broken with the United Nations to put our troops in harms way for financial gain, thrown the Geneva Conventions in the toilet, and disregarding global warming (a topic the vast majority of the nations of the world are making headway on).

So, yes... I know the meaning of the word. I wish we had a president in office that did, too.

BTW... I 100% agree that flag/mock soldier burning is disrespectful and totally inappropriate.

	Baboon Rising	I'm sure frankOdelic is a nice guy and all. But, he is wrong on Iraq and Bush. Samantha eloquently portrayed the UN for what it is: The UNITED ABOMINATIONS, which happens to be the title for the next Megadeth record. Even so, Bush exhausted all diplomatic resolutions before going to war. Liberals forget about the 12+ years of international defiance by Saddam. Going into Iraq was the right thing to do under the tenents of UN Res. 1441, which called for Saddam to disarm ro prove that he had no WMD. The burden of proof was never on the US or the UN to show that Iraq was a threat. Everyone and their mother knew Saddam was because of his past. Remember, that the first Gulf War, technically never ended. H.W. Bush called for a cease fire and under the UN, it was a conditional cease fire, which Saddam has broken ever since 1991. Nevada Lights gets it! She understands what it means to be free and secure in this country. She knows who the enemy is and she is not afraid to stand up for this country and the values that made her what it is under the writings of the founding fathers. And let me tell ya, she has certainly inspirited me to be more outspoken and I enjoy reading her blogs. And, not just because she has a nice body and a pretty face. She is smart, and she is well spoken. And kudos to you frankOdelic for at least recognizing the anti-American disrespect in those pictures of the protest up in Portland, Oregon. I posted these pictures on the Megadeth forums and you would not believe the number of liberals there defending these pictures and personally attacking me because I'm not in Iraq fighting.
