American Fairness Factor

American Fairness Factor
Current mood: happy
Category: Life

There are so many reasons why I am proud to be an American.

Some reasons stand out more than others and one that has always impressed me is that in America people are far more likely to show a level of compassion that you don't get other places.

I call it the American Fairness Factor. It's a blend of compassion and appreciation maintained through respect.

In America, others are likely to see your good points even though you have bad points. There's an idea that if you work hard you can succeed because Americans will take good value along with some negatives.

Let's say you are working for an employer. You are not the best employee but your boss knows he/she can trust you - you will be appreciated for your honesty.

If you grew up watching Bonanza, you know what I'm talking about. The theory that "this guy is a crook but he's feeding orphans in another town" - so lets see what we can do to balance out the situation correctly.

This is one reason I love living in America.

My Polish friend said that when he first came to America and he heard someone say "Hi, how are you?" he was OFFENDED because nowhere in Poland or Russia do people show concern for others like they do in America. Americans care about each other! He said that in Poland or Russia if someone said "Hi, how are you?" the other person might think you work for the KGB and reply - "Mind your business!" It would be considered a violation of privacy to ask "how are you?".

When I was in China me and my engineers were driving down the road and there were two vehicles on the side of the road and a man was laying in the road covered in blood while the other one stood by smoking a cigarette. I said we should stop but they refused. Everyone simply drove by with no concern. The guys explained that you never assist anyone because you might be robbed or get involved with things that don't concern you.

Mind you - China is Government run and there is no fairness like there is here in America. People are afraid to speak up. The internet is monitored. (It didn't stop me from listening to Rush via the internet though while over there - LOL!) Hey, I'm American! That doesn't change no matter where I go!!

In China, if you get sick or injured and you have no money on you - you DIE! There is no "we'll help you now but you have to pay later" like we enjoy in America. There is no help payed at the expense of others. You either have or you don't. There are no emergency rooms focused on saving lives - no money, no help!

Americans have faith in each other, they believe in the greater good and they help each other. They believe that the next person will do their part to make things fair between them.

In America the People are willing to give you a chance.......

Many have no idea what it's like to not have these things.

I know some people have it hard even though they live in America but if you want up you can get up - you decide to get up and you do it!

No matter what these spoiled liberals say - American IS the best place in the world!!! The American People are unique and GOOD! Don't let the decay of your surroundings (caused by overrun illegal immigration) make you lose faith in your fellow Americans!

Know that you are loved. If you need something your fellow Americans care about you and will help you.
