Chris's Blog:

Why is it that only whites can be racists?

Read it all b4 you yell at me, this does not apply to 'everyone' who isn't white, but if it does apply to you...think about it!

You call me "Cracker", "Honkey", "Whitey", "Gringo" and you think it's OK.

...But when I call you Kike, sand nigger, rag head ,Towelhead, WOP, Camel Jockey, Gook, nigger, slant eyes or Chink you call me a racist.

-You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

-You have the United Negro College Fund.
-You have Martin Luther King Day.

-You have Black History Month.

-You have Cesar Chavez Day.

-You have Yom Hashoah

-You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi

-You have the NAACP.

-You have BET.

-If we had WET(white entertainment television) ...we'd be racist.

-If we had a White Pride Day... you would call us racist.

-If we had white history month... we'd be racist.

-If we had an organization for only whites to "advance" our lives... we'd be racist.

-If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships...you know we'd be racist.

-In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights...you would call us racist.

-Did you know that some high school students decided to make a club for only the white students because the other ethnicities had them... they all got sent to court for being racist but the african-american, Latino, and Asia clubs were not even questioned.

-You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

I am white.

I am proud.

But, you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?

Now watch, I'll be a racist for posting this

So what? No one will re-post this for fear of being called racist...

If you think its' true re-post it saying "I'm not RACIST but its true."

Sweetie, I am not a racist but I hate when people bring out this card. Yes there are days set up for all other ethnicities and everything. The reason is not for anyone to favor one group or the next. This is The United States of America. Home of the free land of the Brave. Its about EQUAL RIGHTS FOR EVERYONE NO MATTER WHAT RACE CREED OR COLOR YOU ARE. It doesnt make you seem racist. What it does is makes me understand that a lot of people in this country are not educated. I think you do have valid points, but I question your point of view. The Million Man March was not a racial thing at all and it was all about men uniting and attonement. I was there and it was billed as something racial but if you think that then you missed the whole point. It was about men being men and owning up to mistakes being made in the past and looking forward to a future where we take our rightful place in the home and all that. You need to look at things from other perspectives instead of just with blinders on.

Hey Curt, You are correct in that the Million Man March wasn't a racist thing. No one feels that is and I wasn't saying that. What I'm saying is that if a bunch of white guys wanted to march on some topic or gather for a cause - they'd be called Nazi's or something. Could you see any gathering of ALL white men for whatever reasons NOT being viewed as not being racist? If these white guys said "This march is about us and has nothing to do with you and you are not to be included - would you think they weren't the KKK or skinheads or something like that?

I think it would be viewed that way no matter what their reason would be for gathering just because they are white.

Shereda

Have you ever thought that maybe we have the NAACP and the UNCF because otherwise we wouldn't get treated the same and be given the same opportunities as white people do. And why should there be a month to recognize African Americans. Our ancestors built this country. If it were not for black people and the contributions we have made as a people, America would not be anywhere near what it is today. Why be mad that we have a month when you have the other 11. And come on now, you know as well as I do that when anyone says "White power" history has shown that bad things happen directly after. You have all of these gripes and yet, how often do you hear that an unarmed white man was shot and killed by a black police officer? How often do you get watched and followed around a store? How often do black people cross the street so that they don't have to walk directly past you? How often have you heard a black woman say "watch your purse" as you walk by? These are the things black people go through every single day. Black people don't have the opportunity to be treated based on their character because nobody can get past the color of their skin. The more I read your blogs, the more your ignorance begins to show. Know your history. Black history in America is also your history and for you to be oblivious to the past as well as the present is a shame.

Well Shereda, my first question is what makes you think the other 11 months of the year belong to white people? I have nothing against others having holidays or recognition or celebration. I'm saying that if whites did it, there would be complaints. And you know there would!

And the things you describe happening to blacks, I haven't seen or heard of since the 50's. I have been to every State in the United States except two and have mingled with just about every race common and never even heard about any of this. No one I know treats blacks this way and no one I know has been treated this way. I realize that earlier blacks and whites were very different because we had so many differences between us, but today - I think you would have to look very hard to find people who would treat others poorly just because of skin color. However, when my two white friends went to Compton, two white military men, they were attacked, threatened, glared at, treated differently, etc. So for you to state that somehow because my skin is white that makes me a racist is just my point. Why do you think that having white pride is a bad thing?? Because that's what you've been taught, thats why! Have YOU ever been victim to white pride? I doubt it! I have been the victim of black pride in Los Angeles at age 14, when two black girls beat me up just because I'm white and in the wrong 'hood. And confronted by black girls in Harrisburg Pennsylvania for wearing shorts. About 6 black high school girls said "You think you look nice in yo shorts white girl??" I was about 9 years old!

As far as black men being shot by white police officers - anywhere you go MOST of the police officers are light skinned. That could be Italia, Spanish, French, Cuban, Dutch, etc. etc. What's YOUR idea of "white"?

Black on white crimes are far more common than white on black crimes. You can say whatever you like but the facts are the facts. Yet you come here and act like I'm uneducated, that I don't "understand", that I'm encouraging hate at the mere mention of "white pride".

Let's try something - Read what I write and see how you feel as you read it. I bet you see a clear difference to your own biases:

WHITE PRIDE

BROWN PRIDE

BLACK PRIDE

ASIAN PRIDE

All of these exist and EVERY ONE of them carries the same exact meaning, yet I bet you are bothered the first and none of the rest. It's what we have all been taught, including whites. We all know the typical stereotype that we see in the movies - the white guys in a pick up truck, probably a rebel flag, a gun rack in the back window with some white guy that chews and smokes, has beer cans rolling around the bed of his truck, shirt is sleeveless, he has rotten teeth and his favorite sport is to get with his buddies and shoot "coloreds" - NOT ONE time in my life have I EVER met a Human Being like this! Not once!!

When we lived in Florida and when I have visited the deep South I saw two kinds of people - the ones who were friends and the ones who haven't met yet. I didn't see hating going on. I never heard the word "nigger" in Mississippi. I never saw whites and blacks NOT getting along.

Not to say there isn't hate out there but I have never seen blacks be treated the way you say since the 50's - so the NCAA and the ACLU are outdated. The ACLU didn't stop slavery - a white President did. The NCAA didn't support any black progress in the beginning - individuals did! The playing field is even now. It's time to stop saying someone owes you because no one does. I'm a woman and I still have problems in business but I also have some advantages. If things don't work out - I move on. I can't call the Wonder Woman Society to come hold my hand through every business transaction I partake in.

And as far as black people not being treated fairly based on their character - let me just tell you that as a white ho - I would give anything to hear the voice of my Mom's friend from Florida who was I guess very "Aunt Jamima" - she was big, she laughed all the time, she had so many things about her that you don't see everyday. Why does THIS character have to be eliminated?? Why does she have to be thought of as something bad?? I LOVED her!!! I would give anything just to spend another 2 minutes with her. When you think "Aunt Jamima" - you think it's a racist term. Racist by who?? Not me!! My Mom loved her to death, my Dad loved her - I didn't see anyone showing her hate. In fact - blacks and whites seemed to get along better in the South than out here in the West. I didn't ever hear the word nigger until I moved out West. Yet Hollywood acts like there are these mystical whites who live in the woods, who are rarely seen or heard from, who come out at night to kill, who harbor harbor hate, who promote racism and such. There will always be extremists! There are extreme Trekkies in the world. There will always be a kook in the crowd. That's life!

Regardless, we could argue about this shit all day but the fact is - I don't appreciate being called a racist because I love myself or because I'm white. I love all things about all people. I love to know the differences about myself and others. For the words "uneducated" to come from someone who doesn't even know me is a joke - you don't know me. Calling a white uneducated is the most common form of racism I have experienced. Blacks have it the best in America than anywhere in the world. You have been more successful here than anywhere - when the majority of this Country has been white. If whitey was racist - you would all be dead. Just like the Native Indians - if whites where haters all the Indians would have been killed. There were many battles, whites had guns, more people, better strategies, they could have easily killed ALL Indians. The same goes for blacks. Instead there were buffalo soldiers and such. I don't care what any history book tells me - Human Beings are friendly to each other - they talk, they have friendships, they bond. There is no cut and dry divide between Human Beings. Maybe some think there are but to most there aren't.

I think the words you have written above encourage hatred against me and others like me, Shereda. I think YOU should reconsider what you say and why you say it.

XOXOXOXO

~Samantha

Sir PATRIOT 2U

The way this question was answered by my black Minority Affairs professor in college, it that the "power structure/majority (whites) is the only one that has the power to oppress." Do I agree with it, no. Do I like it, no. The greatest harm that I see being inflicted, is "the blame everything on somebody else" mentality that society is instilling in our young. The "N" word, and the crap that's spewed by our "artists," that tells youth that it's ok to disrespect women, is the worst form of racism, and oppression that exists...IMHO! We need to clean our side of the street before focusing on the need for double-standards, and preferential treatment.

I think ALL people, regardless of race should stop listening to what the media tells us. They keep saying there's hate but I don't see it. They keep saying that there's unbalance and injustice. I don't see it.

People everywhere should just stop listening to others, be themselves and do what comes naturally. People will get along no matter what - the politics have to stay out of it and let us be together naturally. I think blacks and whites would have been FAR more successful today had the politics just stayed out of it.

And I think rapp spawned from what's taught in schools and in the media - that there's something there that isn't. Rapp is the "answer" to this hatred that isn't there - the rebellion against an enemy that doesn't exist.

Sir, you are a smart, smart man. I respect your opinions. Now where are my funny comments??? You are letting me down lately.

All I'm saying is that I want a day for the white folk of America. Just a day to celebrate US!

We could call it "Who the fuck let all these white people out" day. LOL~~

"Honkies Unite Day"

"Time for Spam and Tea Day"

I don't care - I'm just tired of being called a racist and being oppressed by the equalization regime.

MÄÑÐÝ™

Dont forget the college that only black students people can attend, but all colleges must allow black students, and if we are an all white college then we are in BIG trouble.

I am so understanding of this, I have been the center of attention for racism before and its not a pretty picture!

But I do realize that there a lot of real jerks out there and it doesnt matter what background they are from!

So KUDOS for recognizing that!
