Western Life in Western America

Ok, so I moved to Las Vegas ~ ~ I check out the areas available to build a life and even drive all the way out to Lake Las Vegas and Tuscany. There are club houses on the right, winery on the left, fake waterfalls, fake ponds, fake ducks and even fake grass.

Nice!!

The perfection makes me puke!

What happened to the shady, dirty little hole-in the-wall places that some guy from Italy or Greece set up shop? What happened to FINDING the little places that you enjoy, those places that you call your own, that you share with your friends, that take you to another place when you visit them?? What happened to people building their OWN lives????

Do I really need a cutesy little sign to tell me where to go and what to do? Can we have a little filth and some confusion??

Ah, Western life is nothing like Eastern life and Im sorry to say that unless people out here have every little detail planned out, they just dont feel right. I think recent land developments have been dumb-ing the people of Western society down a bit. Seriously! If youve ever been back East and you see that business had a lot more freedoms, homes and people developing their lives had more freedoms, you would see what REAL life is about. I pity people who have spent their entire lives out West and live the manufactured version of reality. I miss it back East sometimes. I miss the way a real America operates.

Dont get me wrong ~ I would still visit the golf-course lifestyle of Western America, but I would also like to experience another walk down a crowded, dirty street, smell something I have never eaten before and do something crazy like absorb some culture.

Blah! Im disappointed that I might have to buy a house, like the one three houses down, on a street like ten streets over and look at fake wildlife and fake greenery.

Im not sure what to think of Las Vegas yet. I hope I find a social replacement for the lack of reality.
